(98 is obviously a trick question)

I've read 82 out of 100 of these books, and there's only one I haven't heard of, so, not bad for a lit prof, eh?

I've read something like 15 of these, if I count two or three that I've only partially read.

Most of them are novels, and I haven't read a huge number of novels over the years. Now, if it had been a list of poets...

I just reread _Shadow of the Wind_ and loved it just as much as I did the first time.

_The Time Traveler's Wife_ is beautiful too, really great writing; the author quotes lots of poetry and the love story is just really weird and interesting.

I'm at 72, surprisingly enough. I wonder how that number will change when I'm at the end of my Lit degree.

I think you'll like the Kite Runner and I recommend Captain Corelli's Mandolin.

How was Madame Bovary, by the way? I was thinking of reading it.

Madame Bovary is risque in a nineteenth century way. Still, I enjoyed it after about the third chapter. There were times I wanted to slap MRS. Bovary and other times when my heart went out to her. You can read it online.....
