I'm doing this, also. I signed up Thursday and have been fretting about it ever since. Damn, damn, damn--is that plagiarism? LOL.
i did it last year / & it was fun
i came in nowhere near the word
count / but i still wrote a huge
body of work / part of some kind
of story / / i'm not sure if i'll
do it again this year / /

Given how crafted your poems are, and the layers of time and experience you work with, writing a novel in one month appears as an amazing challenge!!! And you know what? You might even discover that being fast, might not, contrary to (my) belief, create a superficial result. Looking very much forward to hearing from the experience - it might even allow to overcome sadness and shock of recent events?
