Last night I dreampt I met the perfect guy. He liked me, too. But he was on another planet. Literally. And the planet he lived on had no water. So I figured it was doomed. And I came back down to earth.

Your dream reminds me a little bit of a Kurt Vonnegut novel. Not any particular novel of his, just how his novels are in general.
